BUDGET HISTORY:

The St Catherine AED Program budget is approximately $65,000. Included costs are for 19 AED devices, cabinets and posts, installation, the notification system, printing, postage, and miscellaneous expenses. This budget is fluid as we get more First Responder volunteers - the budget will increase.

In the past, roughly 70% of homes in The Villages AED program neighborhoods have contributed to their programs.  In St Catherine, we budgeted that with $100 contributions from 60% of homes, we would be able to achieve the program goals and still have some funds for contingencies.

Other TV neighborhoods have generally requested $100 contributions -- and if we had requested a lower amount, the time to reach the goal and the possibility we would NOT achieve the goal, were greater.  So we chose to request contributions of $100. 

If contributions received are more than the budget, that will give the St Catherine AED Program the opportunity to purchase more AED’s, or possibly extend the life of the program beyond 4 years.

LEADERSHIP for the management of this program works on a volunteer basis and receives no compensation.
